DSEAR Awareness Training
Who it’s for:
Shop floor operators, technicians, maintenance and cleaning personnel
Learning Objectives:
This course is designed to provide delegates with a clear understanding of the hazards associated with dangerous substances in their workplace, the importance of control measures and housekeeping, and explain relevant parts of DSEAR.
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
Have an awareness of DSEAR, and what it means for their role
Recognise dangerous substances and where explosive atmospheres could occur at their workplace
Understand their role in maintaining a safe workplace, including the importance of good housekeeping

DSEAR Training for HSE & Project Managers
Who it’s for:
HSE professionals, engineering managers, project managers, team leaders, engineers
Learning Objectives:
This course is designed to provide delegates with an understanding of the requirements of DSEAR, and how to effectively manage it in the workplace. Delegates will also learn the fundamentals of explosion science, an overview of ignition sources, and how to correctly select ATEX equipment (including guidance on tendering and procurement).
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
Understand the requirements of DSEAR in their role and projects
Identify where fire and explosion hazards could occur in their workplace, and how these can develop and escalate
Apply the principles of hazardous area classification and risk assessment
Correctly select and specify ATEX equipment
Have an understanding of different types of explosion protection devices and when they are required
Learn from previous incidents in industry
